Tank à Guichets 'CPCP'
Ref. W1546451
Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025, the Tank à Guichets returned to Cartier’s updated Privé collection and has since regained prominence.
Debuting in 1928, the original Tank à Guichets was unconventional for its time with two digital displays — a jumping-hour window at 12 o’clock and a running-minute aperture at 6 — its singular, symmetric design made it a timeless classic.
Here we present a highly desirable Tank à Guichets: CPCP reference W1546451, issued in 2005 as a 100-unit rose-gold limited edition. Departing from the original design, Cartier relocated the crown from 12 to 3 o’clock, modestly increased the case dimensions, and applied a warm satin finish.
The recent revival has brought earlier models back into focus, none more so than the 2005 rose-gold edition. With only a few examples available on the market, its rarity makes it a standout among CPCP releases. In excellent condition, the watch comes complete with the Warranty Card, presentation box, and outer packaging.
