Tourbillon Souverain in 18K 6N Gold
Tourbillon Souverain in 18K 6N Gold
Ref. TN
The F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain - Ref. TN is an icon of modern haute horlogerie. The example we offer is especially rare and collectible: an off-catalog combination with an 18K 6N gold case and a white-gold dial.
When the Tourbillon Souverain was introduced in 2003, Journe ended the era of brass movements and shifted to rose gold (18K 5N) calibers. Cases were produced in either platinum or red gold, with dials in white or red gold.
The ref. TN is identifiable by its small-seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and a centered power-reserve display at 12 o’clock, improving visual balance. With seconds now shown on the subdial, the tourbillon aperture no longer needed seconds markers; the subdials and aperture are joined by a single screwed steel frame, and a shorter black-polished tourbillon cock sits within the aperture for enhanced symmetry.
From the caseback, the open-worked full bridge exposes the remontoir mechanism, with the stop wheel secured by a flat, black-polished cock adjacent to the remontoir blade spring.
Given F.P.Journe’s limited production and strong collector demand for unusual or bespoke combinations, this off-catalog Tourbillon Souverain combines technical achievement with strong collector appeal for buyers who prize provenance, performance and rarity.
