Created in 2024 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Cartier Milano boutique at Via Montanapoleone, this special edition Cartier Tank Cintrée beholds all the elegance of the dramatically curved interpretation of the Tank that collectors know and adore. 

The Ref. WGTA0284 seeks inspiration from a famed version of the watch created in 1929 gifted by Fred Astaire to his friend (and horse-trainer), which featured bold Arabic numerals, a significant change from the Roman numerals one is accustomed to see. The significance of the numerals does not stop there. Indeed, the most extraordinary feature of the watch comes from the use of burgundy to transform the numbers 1 and 6 - an homage to the Milano boutique's address at Via Montenapoleone, 16. 

The proud platinum case offers the watch a solid home, whilst the polished brancards finish, sword-shaped hands, ruby set beaded crown, and silver opaline dial render the entire watch both visually striking and aesthetically magnificent. The nature of the watch truly lies in these nods to the boutique with the replication of the red/white colour scheme of the Milano Coat of Arms.
