The apex Datograph. Combining the world’s best-looking chronograph with a perpetual calendar was, in itself, a ‘grail’ watch; the discreet addition of a tourbillon (hidden from the dial side, of course) takes it to another level. Only 100 pieces were crafted with this gorgeous pink gold 'salmon' dial. The display is cleaner than that of the simpler Dato-Perpetual, with tidier sub-dials and a subtle power-reserve arc between nine and ten o’clock. Inside, the hand-finished calibre L.952.2 advances the calendar with a crisp snap at midnight, while the chronograph starts, stops and resets with Lange’s famously tactile click. Offered in lovely condition, complete with its original certificate and box, it stands as a heavyweight of modern German haute horlogerie: rock-solid engineering delivered with effortless poise.
