Paul Newman is a name synonymous with Hollywood glamour, high octane racing and horology, to find a watch that ties all three together is incredibly rare. Taking ownership of his own racing team with Carl Haas, Newman-Haas racing went on to enjoy enormous success in the American CART series and, in 1997 decided to gift these special Speedies to their key personnel. The present example, gifted to mechanic Bill Man has remained in perfectly crisp condition and is accompanied by the original handwritten presentation note, open-wheel box and Omega archive certificate. An incredibly cool slice of Hollywood-horological history and a gorgeous milestone in the Paul Newman legacy.
