Bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, is a dark green chalcedony flecked with vivid red inclusions that resemble drops of blood. Long admired as a gemstone of strength, mystery, and protection, bloodstone is seldom seen in watchmaking—and almost never in a Lady-Datejust.
