Only in production for around a year, these so-called transitional, reference Daytonas are a hard to find gem in the history of Cosmograph production. With the same physical presence as the earliest 6239 models that established the Daytona DNA, the ref 6262 and 6264 introduced the upgraded, 727 calibre chronograph movement that would power the family right through the 70's and up to the end 1980's when the automatic 1652X series was launched. This example from 1970 sports a beautifully clean silver dial with charcoal grey 'panda' subs and monochrome signature.
