The FPJ Chronomètre à Résonance (Ref. RN) is widely regarded as one of the most remarkable feats of contemporary mechanical watchmaking: an elegant wristwatch that brings an 18th‑century physical phenomenon into a modern, wearable form with exceptional finishing and thoughtful functionality.

This offered example is a discontinued model produced between 2004 and 2010, which embodies the classic aesthetic of the original RN. Featuring two independent stacked dials for hours and minutes, complemented by an overlapping seconds sub-dial. 12 o’clock winding crown allows users to set the time for both dials—turning counter-clockwise for the left dial and clockwise for the right dial. Meanwhile, the 4 o’clock crown serves a single purpose: when pulled out, it immediately resets both small seconds displays to zero, quickly resynchronizing the time and the twin oscillators beneath the dial.

The early Résonance are always sought after and this one has come to us in excellent condition, complete with Warranty Card, the original F.P. Journe box, and outer packaging.
