The H. Moser Streamliner Flyback Chronograph

The H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Flyback Chronograph is, on the surface, a study in restraint. But don’t let its minimalist aesthetic fool you — this watch is as technically impressive as it is beautiful. Launched in 2020, the Streamliner collection marked Moser’s foray into the integrated bracelet sport watch category. The Flyback Chronograph variant, however, takes things to another level.

The cushion-shaped case, rendered in stainless steel, measures 42.3mm in diameter but feels smaller on the wrist thanks to its seamless integration with the bracelet. The finishing is impeccable, with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces that play with light in a way that’s mesmerizing but never ostentatious. The bracelet, with its fluid, organic links, is a tactile delight, evoking a mid-century vibe while feeling thoroughly modern.

At the heart of the Streamliner is the caliber HMC 902, a marvel co-developed with Agenhor. This self-winding chronograph movement features a column wheel and a horizontal clutch, but what sets it apart is its centralized chronograph layout. With both chronograph hands mounted centrally, the dial retains a symmetrical elegance. The fumé-style dial — a Moser signature — is a gradient masterpiece, shifting from smoky blue to deep black. Its understated beauty is punctuated by lume-filled markers and hands, giving the watch a surprising degree of functionality.

The flyback function is the cherry on top. Engaging the chronograph feels effortless, with a tactile click that satisfies every time. The fact that this level of complexity is housed in such an unassuming package is the genius of the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph.

The Urwerk UR-100T

If the Streamliner is an exercise in subtlety, the Urwerk UR-100T is a celebration of unbridled creativity. Urwerk has never been about playing it safe, and the UR-100T is no exception. It’s a watch that seems plucked from the pages of a science fiction novel, yet its roots are firmly planted in the traditions of haute horlogerie.

The UR-100T, like its siblings, utilizes Urwerk’s signature satellite time display. In this system, three rotating discs with hour markers glide along a minute track, creating a time-telling experience that is as intuitive as it is unconventional. The UR-100T also introduces a celestial twist: apertures on the dial display astronomical data, such as the distance Earth travels in 20 minutes or the speed of its rotation. 

Housed in a 41mm titanium case, the UR-100T wears smaller than its dimensions suggest, thanks to its curved design and short lugs. The titanium construction ensures lightness, while the finely grained texture of the case gives it a stealthy, futuristic appeal. 

Inside beats the caliber 12.01, an automatic movement with a proprietary planetary winding system. The movement’s carousel-like design is visible through the caseback, a mechanical sculpture that underscores Urwerk’s commitment to innovation. The power reserve clocks in at 48 hours, and while that might seem modest, you’ll likely spend more time staring at the watch than worrying about winding it.

The UR-100T is not for everyone, but that’s precisely the point. It’s a conversation piece, a reminder that watches can be more than timekeepers.
